Classic Greek salad
- Red tomatoes: 600 g
- Pitted olives: 200 g
- Cucumbers: 200 g
- Feta cheese: 200 g
- Onions: 100 g (1 pc.)
- Green paprika: 1 pc.
- Capers: 30 g
- Olive oil (Extra virgin): 50 ml
- Marine salt: 1/4 tsp.
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Slice the cucumbers into thin or medium flakes, according to preference. If the skin is tough, it would be better to peel the cucumbers.
Remove the paprika's core and slice it in medium-sized slices. A red paprika may be used instead of a green one.
Slice a medium-sized onion bulb into rings, semi-rings or quarter-rings.
Put the slices vegetables into a bowl, add black olives and diced Feta cheese. If available, Feta cheese with herbs is advisable.
Now, it is time for the main ingredient of the Greek salad: tomatoes. We need 4 fully ripe tomatoes with firm texture. In addition to the tomatoes, let us add some capers, some salt and olive oil and stir the salad well.
